Regiontrace is a regional input-output model for economic impact analysis. Enter an event, such as a new plant, a construction project or a closure, and it estimates the change in output, jobs, labor income, value added and taxes, split into direct, indirect and induced effects.
Build a region from small census areas: a city, a county, a school district, a legislative district, or one area with another taken out. Several regions can go into one model, with the trade and commuting between them.
Every input comes from published government statistics. Each result lists its sources and the data release it ran on, so anyone can rerun it and get the same answer.
Regiontrace is in development, with academic access first. For early access, email hello@regiontrace.com.
